Sandy hasn’t just caused scary gas lines, a major economic disaster, and homelessness.  It has also erased parts of towns, ports and sea shores.  These are physical spaces and places that so many of us relied on for amusement, relaxation, family time and memory making.  And now they’re gone.

One particular place that will be sorely missed?  The Jersey Shore.  But luckily Michael Massaia, an resident of Jersey who played on the shore growing up, spent a number of years capturing the beauty of the area.  No kitsch or gaudy pics here.  Rather, gorgeous, emotion-filled shots to immortalize this fun-filled spot.
