Rotten Tomatoes

Yup, even rotten food can look gorgeous.  This and many more delicious images are part of Klaus Pichler’s photography series One Third, which portrays food in advanced stages of decay.  But the series has more serious intentions behind it other than appealing to our sense of the grotesque.  Pichler’s point is to shine a light on the tremendous waste of food that we take for granted amidst the poverty all around us.
